V-Recruit are excited to be working in partnership with a reputable and established Fire & Security Solutions provider, to recruit two experienced Fire & Security Engineers, to join their South Yorkshire and NorthWest based teams as soon as possible, on a permanent basis.
Our client works in the commercial and industrial sectors, installing and maintaining Fire & Security systems, including fire alarms, intruder alarms, CCTV, access control systems etc.
Duties to include:
- Maintain and troubleshoot security and fire systems, as well as carry out regular system checks and updates.
- Ensure that Planned Preventative Maintenance is carried out in line with task schedules and industry best practices and in line with KPIs.
- Carry out reactive repairs as instructed by client and respond within SLA to all work requests in line with client SLAs/KPIs.
- Respond to emergency customer service needs.
- Responsible for requesting all required parts for jobs.
- Risk assessments must be completed before all PPM and Reactive works.
- Always maintain the professional image of the company through positive presentation, behaviours, and attitudes.
- Establish and maintain a good working relationship with all Client representatives and company employees.
- Ensure the provision of a safe & healthy working environment and promote a positive safety culture and ensure company safety rules are always adhered to.
- To attend client meetings as and when required and provide effective communications.
Job Specifics:
- £30-£40k, negotiable depending on experience.
- 40 hours per week, worked flexibly to meet customer needs between 6.30am-6.30pm.
- Overtime paid at basic rate during the week, Saturday at x1.5 and Sunday/Bank Holidays Double time.
- Door to Door pay.
- Involvement in a call-out rota will be needed – approximately 1 in every 5 weeks, but as the team grows, this requirement becomes less often – Call outs are minimum, and are paid at £200/week plus what hours are worked, door to door.

- Full, company-specific training will be given to the successful candidates.
The right candidate must have:
- At least 3 years relevant experience with IP and analogue CCTV systems, Access Control and Intruder Alarm Systems as well as commercial space fire systems.
- Knowledge of PSIMs such as Genesys, Advancis or Milestone preferred but not essential as training can be provided.
- A broad knowledge of Access Control from standard industry products such as Paxton and Winpak to more enterprise and single platform solutions such as CEM and Kantech (training can be provided).
- An understanding and working knowledge of regulations, including BS5839.
- CSCS, ECS or equivalent, as well as IPAF would be preferred but is not essential.
- Must be IP and IT proficient.
