V-Recruit are excited to be working in partnership with one of the UKs most forward thinking, recognised and respected Multi-Academy Trusts to recruit a Caretaker/Site Supervisor/Premises Supervisor for one of their Secondary academies, based in Kirkby in Ashfield. This is a temporary role, likely to last throughout the Summer to September 2026, but this could be extended even further.

37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, £16.15 per hour based on 7.5 hours per day, plus accrued holiday pay. Working hours are on a rota basis to cover all site hours, Monday – Friday, flexibility to work both shifts - 6.30am-2.30pm & 10.30am-6.30pm. Starting as soon as possible, following vetting checks and clear DBS check.

Your main duties will be to work closely with the Premises/Site Manager to ensure the provision of a high-quality environment for the students and staff, in all areas of the school and grounds. This will include, but not be limited to, planned and reactive maintenance duties across the interior of the school, grounds maintenance and some landscaping, setting up of areas for school events, including exams and productions. Some cleaning duties may be required, alongside the dedicated cleaning team.

The successful candidate will have experience in Multi-trade or a Site Maintenance-related environment or a related trade with transferable skills. Training will be given by the Site Manager on the specifics of the role, so no school experience is essential.

The chosen candidate will be personable, confident, and professional and take pride in all aspects of their work. We are looking to recruit someone with energy and enthusiasm who will be able to work as an integral part of a busy and hardworking team. Of course, you will have to have excellent personal skills, as you will be working as part of the wider school staff-body ensuring the safeguarding and quality experience of all 1200 students.
