V.Ships Leisure is looking for a Tailor on behalf of Azamara Cruises. The responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining inventory of all equipment in the Tailor shop and cleaning the sewing machine by the end of the day.
  • Notifying Chief HK in advance when running out of supplies.
  • Making alterations to uniforms and linens, fixing and/or making alterations to guests’ garments.
  • Making or repairing curtains, cushion covers, bedspreads, etc. upon the ship’s demand.
  • Safekeeping and tracking of all new and recycled uniforms.
  • Assisting the Hotel Supply Supervisor in the collection of uniforms from crew upon sign-off.
  • Assisting with the issuance and collection of linen.
  • Helping the inventory team with the loading and storing process of all inventoried items only on loading days.
  • Complying with all corporate standards and procedures as they relate to the entire Azamara Fleet.
  • Following the ship’s rules and regulations as stipulated in the Employee Handbook and respecting all senior ranking officers and fellow staff.
  • Attending and participating in all mandatory lifeboat safety drills on embarkation days and any other port days as scheduled by the Master.
  • Assisting embarking guests with hand luggage on embarking day.
  • Maintaining a logbook for every alteration job carried out for guests, crew, and Hotel.

All duties and responsibilities are to be performed in accordance with STAR Values and Go Further Standards, Safety, ISM/ISO, and VMS and Azamara standards, USPH guidelines, and environmental regulations. Each employee must conduct oneself in a professional and courteous manner, which consists of physical and verbal interactions with guests or fellow shipboard employees and/or in the presence of guest contact and crew areas. Each shipboard employee may be required to perform all functions in various service venues and throughout the ship.
