V.Ships Leisure is looking for Stage/AV Manager on behalf of Swan Hellenic Cruises.
Key Responsibilities
- The AV/Stage manager is tasked with ensuring the seamless operation of all AV systems onboard, including audio, video, lighting, and IPTV services.
- Support/ensure flawless operation of all kinds of presentations and lectures onboard the vessel.
- Manage background music, arrange karaoke evenings and DJ events if needed.
- This role requires a proactive approach to system maintenance, troubleshooting, and coordination with the IT team.
System Maintenance & Troubleshooting
- Manage AV equipment within Server Rooms (DK5 and DK7) with responsibility for the IPTV rack, Tesira servers, Dante sound systems, and Luxul AV switches.
- Maintain and configure VLAN 40 (Bazeport) and VLAN 41 (AV-over-IP), ensuring effective data flow and connectivity.
- Utilize the Bazeport admin portal for content management, scheduling, and STB configuration on public and in-suite TVs.
- Respond to system malfunctions, coordinating with IT for troubleshooting network-related issues impacting AV performance.
Audio & Video Distribution
- Oversee Tesira and Dante audio systems across public areas, including Observation Lounge, Club Lounge, and Restaurant, ensuring high-quality sound distribution.
- Operate Soundcraft audio mixers for live events and performances, managing audio from stage inputs through Tesira and Dante networks.
- Manage video distribution using Aurora VLX encoders and decoders to route video signals from the Broadcast Center to LED walls, PopUp TVs, and other public displays.
Touch Panels & Lighting
- Configure and operate touch panel interfaces across public spaces to control audio, video, and lighting settings.
- Control DMX lighting in lounges and pool areas using LightShark LS1 board and Bstation2 PoE DMX controllers for stage and ambient lighting.
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain up-to-date AV documentation, including network maps, VLAN configurations, and IP assignments for all AV devices.
- Submit monthly Work Registration Forms accurately and on time.
- Attend and contribute to Hotel management meetings as required.
- Support continuous improvement by recommending AV system optimizations and sharing knowledge with the Hotel Director.
Other Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in Expedition/Destination activities as directed by the Hotel Director.
- Participate in guest interaction activities, such as attending and socializing at guest functions, as per company policy.
- Ensure the responsible use and maintenance of all company property related to AV systems.
