The Able Seaman/Ordinary Seaman is responsible to the Bosun/Supervising Officer for:
- Performing lookout/helmsman duties on bridge watches
- Carrying out maintenance work and other operational tasks as required
- Assisting in mooring operations as required
- Adopting safe working practices
- Performing Safety & Security rounds as instructed by the Bosun/Supervising Officer
- Responsible to the Deck Officers for maintaining a safe deck watch and ensuring the vessel remains securely moored.
- Assisting in cargo operations (inc. tank cleaning, sweeping) as required by the Chief Officer and or Officer on Watch
- Undertaking any other tasks, duties as instructed by the Bosun/supervising Officer
