Additional Requirements
- The Ordinary Seaman is responsible to the Bosun/Supervising Officer for:
- Executing lookout and helmsman duties during watch on the bridge;
- Carrying out maintenance work and other operational tasks as required;
- Assisting in mooring operations when required;
- Adopting safe working practices;
- Conducting Safety and Security rounds as instructed by the Bosun/Supervising Officer;
- Being responsible to the Deck Officers for maintaining a safe deck watch and ensuring that the vessel remains properly moored;
- Assisting in cargo operations (including tank cleaning and sweeping), as directed by the Chief Officer and/or Watch Officer;
- Executing any other tasks and duties as instructed by the Bosun/Supervising Officer.
