V.Ships Leisure is looking for an Inventory Manager on behalf of Orient Express Sailing Yachts. The Inventory Manager's role is to manage all areas of inventory control on board and ensure all hotel equipment and consumables stored on board are properly received and accounted for, from arrival until consumed on board. The Inventory Manager liaises with other departments to ensure that the correct stock levels are ordered and held on board the vessel, and works collaboratively with the Provision Master and Hotel Controller to ensure stocks are managed appropriately and in a cost‐efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Submits order proposals for Consumables, Uniforms, Linen, Entertainment supplies and equipment and all other items as requested for the Hotel Department.
  • Ensures that items requested do not exceed ships storage capacity and/or affect ships safety.
  • Oversees the cleaning procedures and maintenance of all store rooms areas.
  • Ensures that USPH standards are maintained at all times.
  • Processes all invoices and Purchase Orders in MXP.
  • Reports to Hotel Controller on shortages, credits and upcoming challenges through constant communication with the Purchasing Department at the Corporate Office.
  • Prepares the ship's requisitions and in‐port purchase orders.
  • Organizes loadings in conjunction with other departments onboard and according to company policies and USPH standards.
  • Works collaboratively with the Provision Master and Hotel Controller to ensure all inventory administrative documents are up to date and communicated to relevant shipboard and shoreside parties (including port declarations, etc).
  • Responsible for budgeting protocols for Consumables, Uniforms, Linen, Entertainment supplies and equipment.
  • Carries out spot‐checks on the hotel stores rotating stock‐takes.

Education / Experience / Qualifications

  • Languages: Fluent English mandatory.
  • Education: A high‐school degree or equivalent in Hospitality or related field.
  • Previous professional experience: 1 year experience as Inventory Manager.
  • Shipboard experience: Yes.
  • Valid STCW certificates.
  • Valid Pre‐Employment Medical.
  • C1D visa mandatory for all positions.
