Overall Purpose of The Job: To lead on Group FP&A activity, resulting in delivery of high-quality information to Executive Management, Business leadership teams, Board and external stakeholders, to inform key decisions and drive sustainable business growth. To lead and develop regular forecasting and the annual budget process, and work with colleagues across all functions in the design, capture and reporting of information relating to the performance (both financial and non-financial) of the business. Central in driving improvement to business analytics and management information and focus on better utilising historic data and current commercial information for a more informed forward-looking view. To play a key role in the development of business intelligence and data utilisation across Group, as well as contributing key information to support business growth (new business, pricing, retention).
Key Responsibilities And Tasks:
- Build strong relationships across Finance and business functions to drive open two-way flow of key information. This role would suit an engaging and inquisitive professional, motivated by delivering high quality business insights and influencing change.
- Manage FP&A team (central and business) to most effectively utilise team resources and be instrumental in their personal development.
- Impact the management of data and its application for business intelligence, being a key player in the Group’s development in this space.
- Develop reporting to demonstrate granular financial performance across all drivers of business activity, identifying trends and opportunities that can be actioned.
- Lead development and delivery of regular Management Information, including that for board and executive meetings.
- Develop and escalate relevant key performance metrics across the business, supporting both performance reporting/indicators and providing forecasting drivers.
- Drive continuous improvement of the rolling forecast process, and ongoing advancement of the annual and long term planning process.
- Develop analysis and proposals to support business development and efficiencies, and support M&A activity with strong financial modelling.
- Assist the CFO on ad-hoc requests as required.
