V.Ships Leisure is looking for a Deck Steward on behalf of Orient Express Sailing Yachts. The deck steward oversees the set-up and cleanliness/readiness of any outdoor areas, including pool deck and external lounging decks, as well as delivers food & beverage items to guests in these locations as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sets-up, breaks-down and maintains cleanliness of pool decks and other public outdoor areas while supporting the bar team with the delivery of Food & Beverage service to Guests.
  • Responsible for placing, removing and maintaining pool furniture daily.
  • Retrieving clean, folding, distributing, picking-up and returning dirty pool towels and sunbed covers.
  • Providing water for guests and outdoor venues and assisting wait staff with delivering pass rounds including food, beverages and clearing dishes and glasses.
  • Provides luxury service to guests in a courteous and professional manner according to Orient Express standards.
  • Active participation in onboard training programs.
  • Additional duties, not mentioned here, will be expected as per management request.

Education/Experience/Qualifications:

  • Languages: Fluent English.
  • Education: High school degree or related. Hospitality training appreciated.
  • Previous professional experience: Previous role as deck steward or utility.
  • Shipboard experience: Not required but preferred.
  • Valid STCW certificates.
  • Valid Pre-Employment Medical.
  • C1D visa mandatory for all positions.
