Overall Purpose of the Job: This role will have a deep understanding of data technologies and will interact with business and technology partners to understand, document, validate, measure, and assure data requirements, usage needs, functional needs, and user training. They will also be comfortable working with a team of data pipeline engineers, dashboard developers and a community of people building Power BI Dashboards.
Key Responsibilities And Tasks:
- Work with colleagues and senior stakeholders across the group to catalogue, understand, question and document what reporting and data is needed to run the business.
- Be able to interpret those needs to the technology teams and defend their business use and requirements.
- Connect with and guide a community of self-service users across the group who will use Power BI and endorsed data sets for their own analytics.
- Contribute to, comply with, and encourage others to comply with dashboard standards and style guide.
- Work with wider IT and business users to review process gaps or technology omissions that require changes and to influence those changes.
- Participate in stand-ups with the data teams and coordinate data pipeline and dashboard building activities.
- Assist in initiatives to improve levels of data quality and integrity throughout the platform and beyond, working closely with Data Governance.
- Be a focal point for knowledge sharing in the data visualisation community.
- Attend other V.Group management offices as required.
- Any other tasks as required to support the delivery of team projects and business requirements.

Essential:
- Minimum qualification of a BSc. in an IT, mathematics or statistical field (MSc. Preferred).
- Knowledge in foundational data management arenas, such as Master Data Management, Data Governance, Data Architecture, and Data Integration.
- Experience with BI reporting tools (preferably Power BI).
- Experience developing processes for managing dashboard creation and implementation.
- Familiarity with data loading and ETL Concepts.
- Bulk data manipulation and import procedures.
- Knowledge of cross-business data will be a strong advantage.
- Ability to be self-motivated for planning and executing tasks and projects.
- Data modelling experience (SQL skills preferred).
- Willing to travel in support of business requirements.
- Good communication (oral and written) skills.
- Good organizational and planning skills.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good soft skills with the ability to engage and interact effectively with people at all levels.
