We are currently seeking highly skilled Engine Repairman for a short‑term, high‑impact assignment aboard the Azamara Pursuit. This role is part of a specialized project team dedicated to preparing the vessel for its upcoming USA cruise season.
Embarkation Date: March 27, 2026
Duration: 2 months (+/- 1 month)
Requirement: A valid C1/D visa is mandatory for this position.
This is an excellent opportunity for experienced maritime professionals to contribute to a premier vessel refurbishment project.
Position Summary: Responsible for carrying out daily maintenance and cleaning of engines and mechanical equipment as directed by the Engineer in charge.
Reporting Structure: Reporting to the Staff Engineer and the Operating Engineer.
Safety Duties:
- Participates in crew safety drills according to instructions.
- Must always comply with the company’s safety and pollution prevention regulations and operating procedures.
- Leads by example by safeguarding health and safety for self and others.
- Ensures all work equipment—personal protective equipment, chemicals and safety devices—are used correctly.
Education/Experience/Qualifications:
- Valid STCW 95 certification.
- Valid ASE Certification A-III/5.
- Knowledge of mechanics, hydraulics, operation and maintenance of vessel machinery and mechanical equipment.
- Experience in disassembling engines and rebuilding.
- Experience on vessels in equivalent positions.
- Physically and medically fit.
- Moral integrity required.
Language Requirements: Excellent fluent English (verbal, written, and technical). English is the working and safety language on board. This also includes the ability to give and receive instructions in verbal and written forms and to engage effectively with guests and crew. Additional languages are considered beneficial.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
- Required to stand, walk long distances, reach, and sit.
- Repetitive motions of bending, rising, and lowering, climbing ladders.
- Lifting or pushing up to 50 lbs.
- The position requires overtime work and irregular schedules.
- Works in the engine control room and engine space with noise, light traffic, and a demanding environment.

- Provide installation and breakdown services.
- Assist with the technical loading team during the intake of provisions.
- Provide technical assistance during the ship’s tendering operations.
