Description
V.Ships Leisure is looking for Deck Steward on behalf of Orient Express sailing Yachts. The deck steward oversees the set-up and cleanliness/readiness of any outdoor areas, including pool deck and external lounging decks, as well as delivers food & beverage items to guests in these locations as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Sets-up, breaks-down and maintains cleanliness of pool decks and other public outdoor areas while supporting the bar team with the delivery of Food & Beverage service to Guests.
- Responsible for placing and removing and maintaining pool furniture daily.
- Retrieving clean, folding, distributing, picking-up and returning dirty pool towels and sunbed covers.
- Providing water for guests and outdoor venues and assisting wait staff with delivering pass rounds including food, beverages and clearing dishes and glasses.
- Provides luxury service to guests in a courteous and professional manner according to Orient Express standards.
- Active participation in onboard training programs.
- Additional duties, not mentioned here, will be expected as per management request.
Education/Experience/Qualifications:
- Languages: Fluent English.
- Education: High school degree or related. Hospitality training appreciated.
- Previous professional experience: Previous role as deck steward or utility.
- Shipboard experience: Not required but preferred.
- Valid STCW certificates.
- Valid Pre-Employment Medical.
- C1D visa mandatory for all positions.
