V.Ships Leisure is looking for a Corporate - Culinary Innovation & Implementation - Shipboard Operations on behalf of Silversea Cruises. Plays a strategic and operational leadership role within the culinary division of Silversea. Responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing all major culinary projects across the fleet—including World Cruises, Grand Voyages, and seasonal culinary activations in coordination with the Fleet S.A.L.T. traveling chef—this role ensures project success from concept to delivery. With a deep understanding of luxury standards and operational execution at sea, this individual works closely with shipboard teams and shoreside stakeholders to deliver seamless, brand-aligned culinary experiences that elevate guest satisfaction and drive innovation. This role requires excellent organizational skills, a collaborative mindset, and strong culinary and logistical acumen. As the Corporate for culinary project implementation, this individual serves as a critical connector between strategic planning and shipboard execution. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the development and rollout of all culinary projects across the fleet, including World Cruises, Grand Voyages, and themed event programming.
- Coordinate closely with Director of Culinary Ops & Innovation, Corporate Executive Chefs, and onboard teams to ensure flawless execution of culinary project timelines, menus, and logistics.
- Act as the culinary point of contact for cross-departmental planning with Hotel, Entertainment, and Shore Excursion teams.
- Partner with Culinary Innovation and F&B Planning teams to translate strategic visions into operational action plans.
- Ensure projects align with brand standards, operational capabilities, and guest experience expectations.
- Provide input on itinerary-specific culinary enhancements, regional provisioning, and destination-driven experiences.
- Conduct onboard visits during major project periods to audit execution and offer real-time coaching and support.
- Monitor guest feedback and onboard performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
- Maintain brand consistency and service excellence through detailed documentation and SOP adherence.
- Provide leadership and guidance to shipboard culinary teams during project activation periods.
- Support training initiatives tied to project execution and specialty events.
- Mentor Executive Chefs and emerging culinary leaders to ensure continuity and development across the fleet.
- Coordinate and participate in the screening and interview process for new external candidates and internal promotions.
Education/Experience/Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in culinary operations within luxury hospitality or cruise environments.
- Proven record in large-scale event or project planning, particularly in global or shipboard settings.
- Strong understanding of food safety, health regulations (e.g., USPH, HACCP), and international compliance standards.
- Excellent project management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel up to 80% of the year and work in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
- Highly organized with a strong sense of initiative and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to tactfully communicate throughout various levels of the organization and with external partners.
- Ability to self-motivate, maintain, and organize multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Understanding of travel restrictions, including international visa & inoculation requirements, and procedures for obtaining.
- Excellent fluent English (verbal and written). English is the working and safety language on board Silversea vessels. This includes the ability to give and receive instructions in verbal and written forms and to engage with guests and crew members effectively and efficiently.
- Intermediate proficiency in one additional language.
- Full professional proficiency in Microsoft windows environment: MS Office package in Excel, Word, Power Point, Notes and Outlook and Intermediate skills in Access and Vision.
