Key Responsibilities

  • Safe planning and execution of all cargo and ballast operations, ensuring ship stability and structural integrity throughout the voyage.
  • Maintaining a safe navigational watch and leading the deck department in emergency response situations.
  • Administrative duties including the maintenance of the hull, fittings, and crew accommodations, alongside the management of deck stores and maintenance records.
  • Acting as the Ship Security Officer and overseeing environmental protection measures, including garbage management.
  • Promoting safe working practices, conducting regular safety inspections, and ensuring all lifesaving and firefighting equipment is fully operational and compliant with international regulations.
