Key Responsibilities

The Third Engineer acts as a designated Engineer Officer of the Watch, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of all machinery during active or UMS (Unattended Machinery Space) duty. Reporting to the Second Engineer for operational tasks, this role focuses on the hands-on maintenance of the main propulsion engines, auxiliary engines, and boilers according to the company’s technical procedures.
