We are looking to grow our team of operatives working in the Rotherham Area. The role involves working in multiple empty properties in the area, bringing homes up to a lettable standard and following client‑specific specifications and schedules.
Responsibilities
- Demo / Soft strip‑out – remove existing kitchens, bathrooms, floor & wall paper strip, wall tiles, denailing, internal doors, skirting, etc., leaving areas ready for renewal.
- General repair works – repair and renew cill boards, window trims, glass replacement, fixtures & fittings (window handles, door locks, chains, shower rails).
- Decoration / preparation – fill, make good walls, apply emulsion to walls/ceilings, treat mould and apply anti‑mould paint.
- Bathroom upgrades / renewal – full bathroom replacement or maintenance of taps, waste, cisterns.
- Kitchens – full replacement or minor joinery repairs such as replacing unit doors and handles.
- Tiling – install 150 × 150 mm ceramic tiles on kitchen and bathroom splashbacks.
- Floor works – apply latex levelling to floors, ply floor or fit vinyl to kitchens and bathrooms.
- General finishing works – fine fill/sand, reseal windows & door trims, silicone seal to worktops, basins and baths.
- Misc – collect materials from suppliers or our offices, transport waste to skips or in‑tips. Keep properties swept and cleared at the end of each day.
Requirements
- Self‑motivated, takes pride in work, works independently or in a team following a schedule.
- Must follow Health & Safety & PPE at all times.
- Hold a valid CSCS card or be willing to obtain one.
- Additional training will be provided: Asbestos Awareness, Manual Handling, Working at Heights, Slips, Trips & Falls (online 15 min courses). Face‑fit training and mask supplied.
