The Department
The department comprises the Head of Learning, the Assistant Head of Learning, and Sixth form Coordinator. Working collaboratively, this team ensures smooth operational management and delivers pastoral support to help students thrive academically and personally. The Sixth Form offers academic and vocational qualifications that challenge students and prepare them for life beyond Uxbridge High School. Outstanding teaching, enrichment opportunities, and experiences beyond the classroom help students develop into well‑rounded, open‑minded, and determined young adults.
The Position
We are looking for an ambitious and inspiring teacher to take on the role of Assistant Head of Learning - 6th Form and join our leadership team. You will support the Head of Learning in creating an outstanding academic and pastoral experience, ensuring students are challenged, supported, and able to achieve their full potential. The ideal candidate is passionate about student development, committed to raising achievement, and skilled at fostering a positive, inclusive, and ambitious learning environment. You will work closely with tutors, students, and colleagues across the school to ensure that every student is supported, challenged, and able to thrive academically, socially, and personally. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real impact on our Sixth Form and contribute to the strategic development of the year group.
