The Role
Our client is seeking a proactive and organised Junior Coordinator to join their Operations team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to take the next step in their career and develop within a project coordination role. Working closely with Operations, Sales, Purchasing and Supply Chain teams, you'll play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of customer projects by coordinating inventory, supplier activity and sales orders, ensuring projects run smoothly from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor programme inventory to ensure stock is allocated correctly.
- Track and report monthly inventory usage and consumption.
- Coordinate the movement of components into production kits.
- Process stock receipts and support inventory transactions.
- Maintain accurate project information on customer sales orders.
- Liaise with international purchasing teams to resolve order allocation issues.
- Expedite supplier purchase orders and follow up on critical deliveries.
- Review and release sales orders where appropriate.
- Obtain and maintain supplier quotations.
- Monitor inventory levels and work with purchasing to ensure stock availability.
- Support inventory planning and replenishment activities.
- Provide general project coordination and operational support as required.
- Undertake additional ad hoc tasks to support the wider business.
Candidate Profile
This role would be ideal for someone with around two years' commercial administration experience who is looking to move into a more career-focused project coordination position.
Essential
- Around two years' experience in a commercial administration, customer service or office support role.
- Excellent organisational and planning skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
- Confident communication skills with the ability to build relationships across different teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop.
Desirable
- Experience using ERP/MRP or other business systems.
- Exposure to purchasing, inventory management or sales order processing.
