AV Warehouse Team Leader Type: Permanent Salary: Up to £34,000 per annum, depending on experience Location: Uxbridge area Working pattern: On-site Our client is looking for an experienced AV Warehouse Team Leader to join a busy technical equipment operation in the Uxbridge area. Previous experience working within the professional audio visual industry is important for this position, ideally gained within an AV warehouse, equipment hire operation, live events environment or in a hands-on AV Technician role. This is a practical leadership position rather than a desk-based supervisory role. You will remain closely involved with the equipment and day-to-day warehouse activity while helping organise workloads, maintain standards and support other members of the team. The role You will help coordinate the preparation, movement and return of professional AV equipment through the warehouse, making sure work is organised effectively and equipment is ready when required. Day to day, you will be involved in receiving and preparing equipment, checking outgoing orders, maintaining accurate stock information and ensuring returned items are processed correctly. You will also help plan upcoming workloads, coordinate equipment preparation and maintenance activity and make sure any items requiring repair or further technical attention are identified and dealt with appropriately. Alongside the operational work, you will provide day-to-day guidance to other warehouse colleagues, help allocate work and support the training and development of less experienced team members. You should expect to remain hands-on with loading, unloading, equipment preparation and general warehouse activity throughout busy periods. What we are looking for Previous experience within a professional AV warehouse or closely related technical environment is strongly preferred. We would particularly like to hear from candidates who have worked: * In an audio visual equipment warehouse * Within AV or event equipment hire * In live events, production or technical staging * As an AV Technician with good equipment and warehouse knowledge You should also have solid warehouse experience and be confident with stock control, order preparation, equipment checking and accurate record keeping. Previous experience leading, coordinating or guiding other warehouse staff is important. Good organisational skills are essential, together with the ability to prioritise work and remain accurate when deadlines are tight. General computer confidence, including Microsoft Office, is also required.
