AV Warehouse Operative Type: Permanent Salary: Up to £31,000 per annum, depending on experience Location: Uxbridge area Working pattern: On-site Our client is looking for an experienced AV Warehouse Operative to join a busy technical warehouse operation in the Uxbridge area. Previous experience within the professional audio visual industry is strongly preferred, ideally gained in an AV warehouse, equipment hire environment or in a hands-on AV Technician role. This is a practical, fast-moving position involving the preparation, movement and checking of professional AV equipment. It would suit someone who already understands how technical equipment needs to be handled, prepared and looked after. The role You will support the day-to-day movement of equipment through the warehouse, helping ensure incoming and outgoing items are handled accurately and efficiently. Your work will include receiving equipment, preparing orders, loading and unloading vehicles, maintaining accurate stock information and carrying out basic equipment checks. You will also help clean and prepare AV equipment for use, identify damaged or faulty items and make sure anything requiring further attention is highlighted promptly. This is a busy environment, so you will need to be organised, reliable and comfortable working to changing priorities and deadlines. What we are looking for Previous warehouse experience is important, ideally within an audio visual, live events, production, equipment hire or other technical environment. Previous professional AV experience is strongly preferred. This may have been gained through: * Working in an AV or technical equipment warehouse * Working as an AV Technician * Supporting live events or production environments * Handling, preparing or maintaining professional AV equipment You should also be comfortable with: * Receiving, picking and preparing equipment * Loading and unloading vehicles * Carrying out basic equipment and condition checks * Maintaining accurate stock or warehouse records * Working safely in an active warehouse environment * Using basic computer or warehouse systems Previous experience operating forklifts or other powered warehouse equipment is also required. Experience using a warehouse management or stock-control system would be useful.
