Are you a dependable and proactive Stores or Warehouse professional looking for your next opportunity? We’re working with a friendly, well-established business based in Uxbridge who are seeking a Stores Assistant to join their busy team. This is a hybrid role combining stores/warehouse support with office-based admin duties - perfect for someone who’s organised, physically fit, and comfortable liaising with both suppliers and customers.
Important note: A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential for this role. Mileage will be reimbursed at 45p per mile for site visits and occasional travel to their Ealing branch.
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm
Key Responsibilities:
- Receiving and checking deliveries from suppliers
- Unloading vans and safely handling equipment
- Arranging and scheduling customer service visits
- Keeping the storeroom organised and tidy
- Ordering parts and maintaining stock levels
- Using the internal system to process orders and respond to customer enquiries
- Emailing suppliers/customers and handling incoming calls
- Driving to deliver parts to fitters on-site or to the Ealing branch
- General upkeep of the depot - sweeping and maintaining a clean work environment
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in a warehouse, stores, or service support environment
- Physically fit and able to lift/carry stock and equipment
- Confident on the phone and computer literate (email, order processing systems)
- A full driving licence and willingness to travel locally as required
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- A practical, can-do attitude with pride in your work
