We are currently recruiting on behalf of a growing and dynamic organisation based in Greenford, who are looking to appoint an Import / Export & Procurement Executive to join their operations team. The Role
This is a dual‑focused position, with approximately 50% responsibility in import/export coordination and 50% in procurement support. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth movement of goods internationally while supporting supplier management and purchasing activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Import / Export (50%)
- Coordinate international shipments, with a strong focus on ocean freight.
- Prepare and review shipping documentation including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and certificates of origin.
- Ensure compliance with customs regulations and international trade laws.
- Liaise with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and customs authorities.
- Track shipments and manage customs clearance processes.
- Procurement (50%)
- Support sourcing and purchasing activities across multiple suppliers.
- Manage supplier communications, follow‑ups, and order tracking.
- Assist with cost analysis and identify opportunities for savings.
- Conduct market research and support supplier negotiations.
- Maintain accurate purchasing and inventory records.
About You
- Graduate‑level education (or equivalent experience) in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field.
- Previous experience in import/export operations, particularly ocean freight.
- Strong understanding of Incoterms and international shipping documentation (e.g. bills of lading).
- Exposure to procurement or purchasing activities is highly desirable.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
