Our client is looking for an organised and proactive Administrator to provide day-to-day support within a busy workshop environment. Working closely with the Workshop Manager, this is a varied role where you’ll help keep the administrative side of the department running smoothly. You won’t be responsible for producing quotations yourself, but you’ll provide the background support needed to help the team prepare, track and follow up work efficiently. It’s a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being involved, likes improving the way things are done and wants to become a valued part of a small, friendly team.

The role will include:

  • Supporting the Workshop Manager with general administration
  • Reviewing previous quotations and tender information to help locate historic pricing
  • Keeping internal records and databases accurate and up to date
  • Setting up and maintaining Excel spreadsheets
  • Following up outstanding quotations when required
  • Organising information and paperwork to support ongoing work
  • Providing additional administrative support to another department
  • Processing orders and completing general office administration
  • Looking for practical ways to improve existing administrative processes

The ideal Workshop Administrator will have:

  • Previous administration experience within a busy working environment
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage several tasks at once
  • Good working knowledge of Excel
  • Confidence working with databases and maintaining accurate records
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • A proactive approach and the confidence to suggest improvements
  • A helpful, team-focused attitude
  • Previous experience supporting a workshop, engineering, manufacturing or similar operational environment would be useful, but this has not been confirmed as an essential requirement.

This permanent Workshop Administrator / Estimating Support role would suit someone who enjoys being the person who keeps everything organised behind the scenes and who wants to work closely with a supportive manager and a friendly local team.

If this sounds like the role for you, don’t wait - apply today with your up-to-date CV!

If it’s not quite right for you but you know someone perfect, refer them to us and receive a £100 voucher when they’re placed and pass their probation period (terms apply).
