Are you a recent Law graduate looking to gain hands-on experience in a respected and supportive legal environment? This is a brilliant opportunity to join a busy and well-established firm where you’ll provide front-line support to the Free Legal Advice line, gaining valuable exposure and training.
Your Role: You’ll be the first point of contact for individuals seeking free legal advice. Using your communication skills and legal knowledge, you’ll either offer appropriate support or direct the caller to alternative sources if the matter falls outside the firm’s remit. This is a varied and rewarding position that combines legal, administrative, and client-facing responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handling incoming calls via the Free Advice line
- Gathering key information from callers and recording it accurately
- Offering free legal advice where appropriate (training provided)
- Redirecting enquiries to other support services when outside of scope
- Onboarding eligible cases into the firm's system
- Providing administrative support to the wider legal team
What We’re Looking For:
- A Law degree (recent graduates encouraged to apply)
- Excellent telephone manner and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping
- Experience within a legal advice clinic, Citizens Advice Bureau, university clinic, or similar (desirable)
- A passion for helping people and a genuine interest in a legal career
