We are delighted to be working once again with one of our most trusted clients, and this time we're helping them find a first-class Construction Buyer to join their brilliant, down-to-earth team.
If you have experience as a Construction Buyer or Materials Buyer within the construction sector, and you're looking for a business that sets the bar for quality and client service, then this could be your ideal next step.
This opportunity offers the chance to work with a high-end client base where excellence is expected – and achieved. You’ll be responsible for managing the procurement process from start to finish, ensuring all plant and materials are delivered on time and within budget.
This role is fully office-based in Harefield with free parking on site, and the hours are 8am–5pm, Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
• Purchase and hire plant and materials to ensure timely site delivery
• Price check and manage purchasing volumes
• Provide quotes and cost information for upcoming works
• Handle all administrative duties relating to procurement
• Maintain up-to-date plant hire lists
• Monitor project budgets and support commercial targets
• Assist in preparing cost plans from drawings
• Build strong relationships with suppliers and manufacturers
• Ensure purchasing stays within set budgets
Person Specification:
• Experience as a Construction Buyer or Materials Buyer within the construction sector is essential
• Highly numerate with strong attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Able to read and interpret construction drawings
• A proactive learner with a solutions-focused mindset
• Full UK driving licence is essential
