Work Experience Co-ordinator

Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Employability team, a vital and dynamic part of HRUC (Harrow, Richmond and Uxbridge Colleges). You would be responsible for identifying new work experience opportunities for students. Working closely with the curriculum teams, you would maintain a database of work experience placements and organise the setting up and operation of work experience arrangements.

Responsibilities

• Identify new work experience opportunities for students.
• Maintain a database of work experience placements.
• Organise the setting up and operation of work experience arrangements.
• Liaise with work providers, students and College staff.
• Maintain effective systems for monitoring placements.
• Visit employers\’ premises and carry out risk assessment checks.

Requirements

• Pro‑active, organised individual.
• Strong administrative skills, including experience with databases/systems and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication skills with good attention to detail.
• Ability to work flexibly and on own initiative.
• Willing and able to travel to other college campuses and local employers as required.

Compensation & Terms

For individuals who start a term‑time only role after 1st September, the salary will be pro‑rated from the start date to the end of this academic year (31st August 2026). This ensures correct entitlement to pay and holiday pay relative to the portion of the year worked. It will be paid in equal monthly instalments until 31 August, reverts to normal arrangements at the start of the following academic year.
