Uxbridge Campus
In this challenging and rewarding role based within our Learning Support team at Uxbridge, you will work directly with young people (Year 9 upwards) with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, and their parents/carers, to enable them to make an effective transition to Uxbridge College. Reporting to the Head of Learning Support, you will also take a lead on all administrative duties for receiving and processing of learners with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), including leading the EHCP Consultation process and Annual Review meetings.
We are seeking an individual who can demonstrate the following:
- Experience of working with children or young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities in an educational environment
- Understanding of the SEND Code of Practice
- Understanding and experience of working with EHCPs
- Experience of working in partnership with a variety of agencies (e.g. schools and local authorities)
- Ability to supervise other team members effectively
- Ability to build effective working relationships and meet the needs of a diverse range of people
- Good IT, organisational and administrative skills, and be able to prioritise a busy workload effectively
