We are expanding our provision of technical education with new facilities scheduled to open in September 2026, which will offer industry-standard workshops and classrooms for our Electrical Installation and Plumbing provision.

As part of our continued growth, we are seeking passionate and skilled professionals to join our team and help shape the next generation of tradespeople. Reporting to the Head of School for Engineering Technology and Innovation, in this newly created post you would provide leadership for a team of Lecturers, manage study programmes and develop provision across the Section.

You would teach across a range of programmes according to your specialism. You would also continue to increase and develop our links with employers, which are integral to successful student work placements and course enrichment.

We are seeking someone who can demonstrate the following:

  • Level 3 qualification in Plumbing or Heating (NVQ or C&G Advanced Craft)
  • Full Level 5 teaching qualification recognised by the FE sector (DET or equivalent)
  • Successful teaching experience in Plumbing, preferably in Further Education
  • Curriculum co-ordination and development experience
  • Experience of improving teaching, learning and assessment
  • Experience of leading/supervising a team
