Overview
Our Travel and Tourism section at Uxbridge Campus offers a range of travel-related courses to our learners, with a focus on the airline/aviation and hospitality industries. Working with local employers at and around Heathrow airport, we successfully prepare learners for careers in the sector and/or higher education.
Responsibilities
- Teach on a range of Travel and Tourism courses to students, predominantly 16-19-year-olds, from Level 1 to Level 5, on a full-time basis.
- Engage and motivate young vocational learners aged 16-19 using effective teaching and training methods.
- Collaborate with local employers and the College to support learners\\\' progression into careers or higher education.
- Contribute to curriculum development and participate in quality assurance processes as required.
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum of Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject area (a degree is highly desirable).
- Experience of working in the travel industry, with some teaching or training experience.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to engage and motivate 16-19-year-old vocational learners.
- Willingness to develop teaching career; College will fully fund Level 5 teaching qualification.
