We are currently seeking an experienced Health & Wellbeing Coordinator to join our team at Phosphate Hill Village in Northwest Queensland. Our Tastelife program is recognised worldwide and links all the elements of healthy eating, education, exercise and lifestyle activities to give a holistic approach to ensure residents mental and physical wellbeing.
This role will be working on a 4 days on 3 days off roster, working 11hrs a day. FIFO from Townsville only.
Flights, accommodation and meals all provided.
The Position
- Plan and deliver engaging social events on site
- Conduct a variety of group fitness activities and classes for residents
- Implement and assist in the coordination of company-wide health initiatives
- Monitor and maintain all sporting, leisure and recreational activities / facilities on site
- Conduct Health Assessments and Gym Inductions for residents
- Provide educational seminars as required
- Ensure communication and reporting processes are followed
The Person
- A Certificate IV in Fitness, Diploma of Sport and Recreation or health related degree is essential
- Minimum 12 months experience in a similar environment
- Current first aid and CPR certificate mandatory
- Australian manual driver’s licence
- Events/Community Engagement experience - highly desirable
- Yoga/Pilates/Breath Work Qualifications/Certificates - highly desirable
- Passion for physical and mental health and fitness
- Previous experience conducting group fitness activities and classes
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in technical aspects of gym and recreation facilities
- High level focus on engagement with Clients and village residents
- Events coordination
