As a Careers & Enterprise Developer, you\’ll play a key role in enhancing the career confidence and prospects of our students and recent graduates in the College of Business & Law, with a particular focus on supporting the unique employability needs of our international student community. You\’ll collaborate across academic and professional services teams to design and deliver inclusive, student-centred career learning activities that align with the curriculum and support our graduate outcomes.
You\’ll be joining a forward-thinking service that integrates Careers Library, and Digital Learning services in one team – all working together to improve the student experience and graduate success.
Your work will include:
- Co-creating and delivering engaging careers and enterprise education both within the curriculum and in extracurricular settings.
- Delivering one-to-one careers information, advice and guidance through bookable and drop-in appointments.
- Delivering careers education in group settings, through workshops, lectures, events and other activities.
- Empowering students to identify their career goals, build their employability skills, and take confident steps toward their aspirations including freelance and self-employment.
- Embedding entrepreneurial thinking and career management skills into extracurricular learning experiences.
- Designing and delivering tailored support for international students, on your own and in collaboration with colleagues.
- Working with other colleagues to promote careers & enterprise activity to students.
- Using your pedagogic knowledge and insight into employability trends to shape innovative and responsive support for all learners.

- Experience in delivering careers guidance and coaching, ideally within a higher education setting.
- An interest in the unique employability challenges facing international students.

- The ability to reflect on practice, keep up with sector trends, and use data and feedback to inform your work.
