We are looking for students who are approachable, organised and confident communicators, able to work both independently and as part of a team. No previous experience is required; full training and ongoing support will be provided.

- Peer Coach (Learning and Practical Skills) - You will support students by providing study skills, subject guidance or skills development, using your own experience to help them set goals, develop learning and practical skills, and engage more effectively with course materials. In this role, you will work with students either one-to-one or in small groups (timetabled), guiding learning, encouraging experimentation, and facilitating peer review. In sessions, you will act as a positive role model by demonstrating effective study habits and promoting collaborative learning in a relaxed and friendly environment. Where appropriate, you will direct students to relevant support services or opportunities across the university.
- Peer Coach (Careers) - In this role, you will support students and graduates with career development by staffing Careers Drop-Ins across all UWE campuses. You will help students build confidence in their career planning by offering practical tips on CVs, interviews and job applications, as well as directing them to digital resources. You will also work alongside UWE teams at events such as Career Fairs, Employer Panels and UWE Open Days. The role may include delivering curricular and extra-curricular workshops, creating marketing and social media content, contributing to data analysis, and supporting wider careers projects and initiatives.
Both roles will require flexibility and a willingness to collaborate with peers in the alternate pathway when needed. Both roles may involve light outreach to other students.
Location: All UWE campuses, including Frenchay, Glenside, and City Campuses as needed.
Start: Early September. Mandatory training will take place in August 2026 on Frenchay campus (dates will be confirmed later in the process).
Flexible shifts: Up to 8 hours per week. Shifts will vary depending on your timetable and availability.
