26 weeks paid parental leave after one year and 36 weeks after five years continuous service, regardless of gender. 4 weeks annual leave with the option to purchase more. 13 weeks long service leave after seven/ten years. Work in a well‑established team with mentoring support. Flexible working options considered. Full-time appointment on a tenurable basis. Base salary range: Level B, $118,150 – $139,812 p.a. (pro‑rata) plus 17% superannuation.
About the area: The Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics (DARE), within UWA’s School of Agriculture and Environment, hosts the Centre for Agricultural Economics and Development (CAED) and the Centre for Environmental Economics including publication in leading journals, pursue competitive funding, engage with stakeholders and industry, and supervise Honours and postgraduate students.
About you: PhD in Agricultural/Agribusiness/Environmental Economics, or relevant discipline. Demonstrated ability to deliver high‑quality teaching at undergraduate and honours levels, including innovative approaches to teaching, assessment, and learning materials in applied economics. Demonstrated capacity to develop a strong research and publication track record relative to opportunity. A demonstrable emerging track record of successful competitive funding application. Demonstrated skills in quantitative data analyses in applied economics.
