Lead influential alumni programs and teams, partnering with senior academics to build lifelong connection and advocacy. Full-time (1.0 FTE) appointment on an ongoing basis. Base salary range: $134,288 – $142,099 p.a. plus 17% superannuation.
About the area: Development and Alumni Relations (DAR) oversee the University’s alumni, philanthropic, and community strategies. The function works collaboratively across the University to embed philanthropic and engagement activity into the University’s operations. The core responsibility of the team is to lead and build on the University’s alumni, donor, and community relationships to advance the University’s goals.
About the opportunity: Provide strategic leadership to strengthen lifelong, mutually beneficial relationships between UWA and its alumni community. Lead and oversee key alumni engagement portfolios, including volunteering programs, School and regional engagement, and alumni involvement in the student experience. Design and deliver alumni initiatives aligned with UWA’s Alumni & Philanthropy Strategy and broader institutional priorities.
About you: You are a strategic, relationship driven leader with a passion for community and impact. You will bring:
- Demonstrated experience designing and delivering high impact alumni engagement programs aligned to institutional strategy, with measurable outcomes across diverse alumni cohorts.
- Proven ability to lead institution-wide collaboration to embed alumni engagement across the organisation.
- Experience driving targeted engagement outcomes for specific alumni cohorts, such as Recent Graduates, Young Alumni and Mid-Career alumni.
- Strong people leadership capabilities with the ability to motivate and influence teams and volunteer groups.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships with Deans, Heads of School and senior stakeholders.
