26 weeks paid parental leave after one year and 36 weeks after five years continuous service, regardless of gender. 4 weeks annual leave with the option to purchase more. 13 weeks long service leave after seven/ten years. Base salary range: $134,288 – $142,099 p.a. plus 17% superannuation.
About the area: UWA is making significant investments in the Information and Technology Services area to enable its strategic direction and goals. Cybersecurity is one of these areas and is undergoing an uplift in capability and delivery of new services to align with the University’s risk strategy. The Cybersecurity & Technology Risk unit provides risk governance, architecture & design assurance, and operational governance to all aspects of the cyber security domain, from network security, platform security, application development, cyber awareness and education, and security operations.
About the opportunity: Provide specialist advisory services by working collaboratively with technology solution owners, project teams, and functional leads to integrate security controls into technology initiatives and operations across infrastructure, platforms, application security, policy, and governance. Under broad direction, play a pivotal role in leading the evolution of the University’s Information Security Architecture domain and related practices and services. Ensure technology initiatives align with UWA’s cybersecurity framework and risk management strategies through proactive engagement, embedding best practice into the IT environment.
About you: Demonstrated experience in testing effectiveness of security controls and capabilities covering infrastructure, platforms, applications, deployment pipeline and cloud-based solutions is desirable. Extensive experience in identifying and mitigating risks across complex IT environments, including infrastructure, applications, deployment pipelines, and cloud solutions. Extensive knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, ASD ISM), risk management practices, and control implementation. Relevant industry certifications, including SABSA Foundations, TOGAF, CEH, CISSP, CISM or other security/control certifications are desirable.
