Lead a critical portfolio of campus-wide service contracts across maintenance and operations. Drive contract performance, compliance and value across a complex stakeholder environment. Full-time (1.0 FTE) appointment on an ongoing basis. Base salary range: $116,262 – $127,078 p.a. (pro-rata) plus 17% superannuation.
About the area: Campus Management plans, designs, develops and manages UWA’s campus and property portfolio to support teaching, research and campus life. The division delivers University-wide services spanning strategic planning, property management, facilities operations, major projects and developments, sustainability, landscape, security and transport. Within Maintenance and Operations, this role shares accountability for delivering maintenance and operational services that comply with operational policies, procedures, standards and the Campus Plan, with the Faculties and Central Units as primary customers.
About the opportunity: Lead the development, formulation and coordination of service contracts spanning cleaning, security, parking, grounds and utilities for Maintenance and Operations. Act as the nominated Campus Management client for services contracts, working closely with Strategic Procurement to ensure agreements align with University policy, standards and the Campus Plan. Supervise contract administration activities and mentor a team of Contract Leaders, building team capability and driving consistent, value-for-money outcomes.
About you: Postgraduate qualification in Contract Management, Procurement or a related discipline, or equivalent experience. Extensive experience procuring and administering services contracts within a large, complex portfolio. Sound commercial acumen gained within the maintenance and facilities services industry, applied to meet organisational requirements. Substantial experience guiding stakeholders through complex administrative and contractual processes, underpinned by strong relationship-building skills. Demonstrated experience leading change within a matrix environment, backed by strong analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills, and excellent written and verbal communication.
Note: Employment checks will include information on gender-based violence, sexual harassment, and related misconduct to meet legal obligations. A current National Police Clearance, and a finance check will be required by the successful applicant.
