This position is responsible for the assembly, maintenance, and changeover of injection molds.

Duties

  • Perform mold changes and ensure mold tools are ready to meet production schedules.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot problems and perform repairs on mold tools.
  • Recommend changes and enhancements to procedures and equipment to result in more efficient operations.
  • Maintain a safe, clean working environment.
  • May perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Skills

  • Basic math skills, including knowledge of shop/mechanical mathematics.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics, and 3D models.
  • Ability to comprehend and retain technical verbal and written instructions.
  • Understanding and experience with mold tool construction and maintenance.

Education And Qualifications

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED, associate degree preferred.
  • Prior Injection mold tool maintenance and assembly experience preferred.
  • Physical Demands:
    • Ability to regularly lift and/or move objects weighing up to 60 lbs.
    • Ability to occasionally move objects weighing in excess of 100 lbs.
    • Ability to stand and walk on a regular basis and occasionally climb, stoops, kneels, or crouch.
    • Ability to view fine detail, color variation, and depth perception for extended periods.
