1 x Permanent and 1 x Temporary Maternity Cover up to 12 Months. Planning and Building Control are central to the Council’s work, helping our communities develop and flourish in a sustainable way. We are looking to recruit two individuals to join our Registration Team; one in a permanent position and one providing maternity cover. Both roles are full-time (37 hours per week).

As a Registration Officer, you will play a key role within the Support Team, working closely with professional Planning and Building Control Officers to provide high-quality administrative and customer service support. To be successful in this role you must have a high level of accuracy and technical expertise across multiple systems. Confidence and the ability to multitask between a wide range of processes including assisting with Planning Enforcement administration and Appeal Inquiries/Hearings, amongst other things is required. You will also have a methodical and organised approach to your workload, be calm under pressure with the ability to work to strict deadlines. High level of customer service skills will be needed.

We are committed to delivering a strong customer focus with an emphasis on effective team working. Both roles are based on a 37‑hour working week, Monday to Thursday 8.30am–5.00pm, and Friday 8.30am–4.30pm.
