Housing Register and Allocations Officer
Temporary Contract up to 12 months
Salary Grade 6 £34,314 - £37,035

Due to an internal promotion, this key post is available within the Housing Options team. As a Housing Register and Allocations Officer you will be ensuring all applications to the Housing Register are processed and applicants housing need assessed in accordance with the Council’s Allocations Policy, and for carrying out all the administrative processes required.
This is a varied role providing general housing advice to customers both face to face, on the telephone and by email. The role includes shortlisting bids from applicants for social housing and ensuring nominations are made to social housing providers within required timescales, updating systems, and keeping applicants informed.
We are looking for someone who is organised, who can work quickly and accurately and can learn new systems, policies and procedures quickly. While no experience of housing is necessary, some experience of administration and data inputting is required. We work in a customer focused way to ensure that anyone approaching the service is dealt with in a prompt, friendly and professional manner. We are looking to develop someone in the role and there may be future opportunities for career progression within the wider team.
