Premises Maintenance Operative (Caretaker) required for November 2025. Salary: MNS Range 6/7 (Β£26,133 β Β£31,994 per annum) depending on experience.
We are looking for a committed and motivated Premises Maintenance Operative to join our site team. This position will assist with the care of the academy premises, including general maintenance duties, minor repair and refurbishment works, porterage, and other duties.
Applicants need to be trustworthy, reliable, hardworking, physically fit, conscientious, and able to work independently as well as part of a team. Ideally, you will have good DIY skills and some knowledge of health and safety. Full induction will be provided.
Hours are 37 per week, with a shift system on a rotating basis: 6.00am β 2pm, 7.30am β 3.30pm, or 11am β 7pm. One day per week will be an early finish of 30 minutes. You will be required to work one in three Saturdays.
Benefits include 27 days annual leave, plus bank holidays and time off between Christmas and New Year, and a staff rewards system. The school contributes 22.5% towards the Local Government Pension Scheme.
