Utranazz, one of the UK's leading suppliers of concrete equipment, is looking for an experienced Senior Mobile Plant Fitter / Engineer to join our team.
This is a hands-on, senior-level role suited to a highly skilled plant fitter who enjoys fault-finding, problem-solving and working on a wide variety of specialist machinery.
You’ll be responsible for diagnosing, servicing and repairing our extensive range of concrete equipment, including concrete pumps, truck mixers, volumetric mixers, batching plants and silos.
Working both at our Bicester headquarters and on customer sites across the UK, you'll play a key role in keeping our customers' equipment running efficiently and minimising downtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out advanced fault-finding, diagnostics, servicing and repairs on heavy plant and specialist concrete machinery.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and electronic faults.
- Attend customer sites across the UK to carry out breakdown repairs, planned maintenance and equipment inspections.
- Undertake equipment installations, testing and commissioning when required.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and other members of the workshop team.
- Identify faults efficiently and carry out effective repairs to minimise equipment downtime.
- Liaise directly with customers, providing professional technical advice and excellent service.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and to a high standard.
What We're Looking For
- Extensive hands-on experience as a Mobile Plant Fitter, Heavy Plant Engineer ideally at senior level.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, mechanical systems and electrical fault-finding.
- Experience working with 12/24V electrical systems, with knowledge of 3-phase electrics, CANbus and PLC systems advantageous.
- Experience maintaining and repairing construction machinery, heavy plant or similar equipment.
- Ability to diagnose complex faults and carry out repairs independently.
- A practical, proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
- Willingness to travel throughout the UK and occasional overseas trips, with overnight stays.
- Full UK driving licence essential.
Experience working on concrete pumps, batching plants or concrete mixing equipment would be an advantage, but is not essential. Training on our specialist machinery will be provided.
