Experienced Bookkeeper – Part-time (30 hours) An excellent opportunity with Utranazz, Concrete Equipment Specialists - the UK's leading supplier of concrete equipment. We are seeking an Experienced Bookkeeper competent in all bookkeeping functions with hands-on experience in import/export VAT. Based at our new Bicester depot, this is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working within a small team. The candidate must have a good understanding of Sage accounting software and be able to manage and reconcile Postponed VAT Accounting (PVA) entries. Seeking local candidates within a 15–20-mile commute.
DUTIES
- Prepare and reconcile import VAT and monthly PVA statements against import documentation and the purchase ledger.
- Reconcile VAT accounts and quarterly VAT returns.
- Manage bank reconciliations across multiple companies, including bank and currency accounts and credit card transactions.
- Manage Accounts email inbox and reply to/action emails in a timely manner.
- Receive and process all supplier invoices, reconcile accounts, and check supplier statements.
- Manage supplier payments by bank transfer.
- Monthly payment runs, including sending remittances.
- Post and allocate customer receipts accurately across multiple currencies.
- Send customer statements; credit control.
- Process quarterly VAT returns including Monthly PVA and C79’s.
- Provide ad hoc administrative support as required.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Proven experience in bookkeeping/financial administration, including import/export VAT.
- Confident with Sage accounting software (ideally Sage 50) or similar is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Confident and professional telephone manner.
- UK driving license is essential, due to rural location.
