We’re recruiting a proactive Pre‑Employment Tutor/Assessor to deliver high‑quality classroom teaching, learning and assessment on short‑course programmes: Warehouse and Storage, Lean, Industrial Environment Awareness, Green Literacy, and the Green Circular Economy. You’ll create a positive, safe learning environment and support adult learners to achieve qualifications and progress into sustained employment.
Delivery model
Classroom-based delivery at UTraining centres and partner venues (with standard in‑person assessment and tutorials). Occasional employer‑site visits for contextualised learning and progression support.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain a caseload of Adult Skills learners, ensuring training and assessment meet partner, funding body, awarding body and UTraining Ltd requirements.
- Plan, develop and deliver engaging classroom sessions; contribute to programme design and continuous improvement.
- Track and drive learner progress so all elements are assessed and achievement targets are met on time.
- Keep accurate learner records (paper and electronic) for audit and quality assurance within agreed timescales.
- Prepare, adapt and maintain high‑quality learning resources and equipment aligned to each programme.
- Support learners to achieve by: Clarifying criteria and requirements and checking understanding; Recording progress and providing timely, constructive feedback; Embed employability, digital skills, safeguarding, Prevent and British Values, and promote safe working practices aligned to industrial environments and green competencies.
- Liaise with employers/referral partners to support learner progression into work.
