As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for owning and driving the full sales cycle, from prospecting and lead generation through to closing and onboarding new customers. You will work with a mix of self-generated leads and inbound enquiries, building a strong pipeline within your assigned territory or market segment. This role suits a commercially driven, field-focused sales professional who thrives on winning new business, building long-term customer relationships, and consistently exceeding sales targets in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities- Identify, prospect, and secure new business opportunities through outbound activity, referrals, networking, and inbound leads.
- Own the full end-to-end sales cycle, from initial discovery and needs analysis through proposal, negotiation, and close.
- Conduct face-to-face and virtual meetings with prospective customers to present tailored payment solutions that meet their business needs.
- Build and maintain a robust, high-quality sales pipeline, ensuring accurate forecasting and consistent activity levels.
- Identify and engage key decision-makers and influencers within target accounts.
- Manage contract completion and oversee a smooth handover into onboarding, ensuring an excellent customer experience.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activity, opportunities, and customer interactions within the CRM system.
- Proactively upsell and cross-sell additional products and services where appropriate.
- Monitor personal performance against KPIs and revenue targets, reporting regularly to sales leadership.
