Responsibilities
- Development and maintenance of front-end applications and back-end databases within ULP's Windows and Linux hosted environments, ensuring that IT solutions are high quality, efficient, and secure and that they align with the strategic application architecture.
- Collaborate with business analysts and business users to gain full understanding of the business requirements.
- Develop software solutions for new projects and updates to existing applications.
- Ensure applications meet security and data protection requirements.
- Produce and maintain appropriate technical documentation.
- Participate in peer reviews of designs and code as required.
- Conduct and oversee unit, system and regression testing.
- Support user acceptance test and implementation of solutions.
- Make recommendations to improve operation or stability.
- Provide 3rd line application support expertise.
- Provide application support to overnight batch runs as required.
- Perform roles and activities to meet department needs, as required, including 3rd line support and callout if required.
- Develop a working knowledge of all applications developed and supported within the department; effectively cross-skill within team to ensure resilience.
- Ad hoc tasks as required.
- Comply with the FCA's conduct (and senior conduct) and Consumer Duty rules and the PRA's conduct (and senior manager conduct) standards as set out.
- Notify the Regulators of any regulatory matters reasonably expected to be notified.
