- You’re a seasoned people-leader, having led large Product teams in a scaling, multi-product business;
- You’ve demonstrated, time and again, the ability to develop and drive the delivery of a complex product roadmap;
- You’re a technology evangelist with a strong knowledge of using AI and technology in complex businesses;
- You cut through complexity to make things simple;
- You’re data-led in your decision making and strategy development;
- You’re great at building relationships across the business, utilising your communication skills to influence and engage;
- You’re motivated and ambitious, both for yourself and the business you work for;
- You are an inspirational leader who really gets to know their people, empowers them to do great things and sets clear expectations to deliver;
- Previous experience in utilities and/or regulated industries is valued but not essential.
A hybrid role working from one of our London hubs 2 days per week.
Your team and the people you will work with… Reporting to our CPTO and working closely with our engineering, design and data leaders, you will lead our entire product function (c.40 people). You will be a key part of our Technology & Product Leadership team alongside VP, Engineering, Head of UX and Data Lead.
What you’ll do and how you will make an impact:
Leadership- Leading a team of 40 seasoned Product folk with 4 Heads of Product reporting directly to you; setting the direction and driving high performance;
- Fostering a positive product culture, where curiosity, collaboration, commerciality and diversity of thought are the norm;
- Levelling up the Product function through coaching and developing the team to deliver exceptional value;
- Cutting through the complexity and providing a clear vision and direction for Product at UW, working in close collaboration with peers in Technology, Commercial and Operations to deliver.
- Drive the creation of a product strategy and roadmap that aligns to the business priorities. Work with peers to deliver it. You’ll create the environment to make sure people can make it happen;
- Develop and deliver a consistent product vision, strategy and roadmap for all products within the domain space, working on multiple Products in a complex matrixed environment;
- Manage large, complex roadmaps and prioritise wisely to deliver value to our customers, partners and business;
- Clarify priorities and commitments and establish a culture of ownership and accountability;
- Manage and optimize budgets, forecasting, and cost allocation to enable the delivery of key business objectives;
- Dig into the data to help the business and product teams establish the right goals, targets and key performance indicators to motivate, engage, and drive successful delivery;
- Monitor the competitive landscape across our service lines and ensure we provide brilliant, best-in-class solutions for our customers.
- Embed new ways of working and structures between product, engineering, data and design;
- Create a cross-organisational working environment that ensures collaboration with key internal stakeholders to break down barriers and deliver the right products with speed and agility;
- Engage directly with customers and partners to gain deep understanding of their needs—use customer research, feedback and data to build iteratively and test/experiment innovative concepts and features.
