We’re aiming to double in size as we help more people to stop wasting time and money. Big ambitions, to be delivered by people like you. Got your attention? Read on...
We put people first. It’s all about you.
We’re looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our Energy team. You will lead the delivery of high-priority, cross-functional projects that are critical to our energy business. This includes industry initiatives such as market-wide mandatory Half Hourly and Smart Meter programmes. You will navigate the complex landscape of industry-wide regulatory changes and metering transformations, ensuring our activities remain compliant, efficient, and market-leading. You will be responsible for orchestrating resources across Commercial, Finance, Product, Tech, Operations, and Regulatory teams to deliver seamless end-to-end change.
We deliver progress.
What you’ll do and how you will make an impact:
- End-to-End Delivery: Own the full lifecycle for complex energy initiatives, system changes, and business efficiency or growth initiatives—from discovery to post-implementation review.
- Industry Change Management: Lead the response to mandated energy industry changes, ensuring UW’s regulatory requirements are met and processes are aligned.
- Metering Strategy Execution: Manage large-scale projects, including SMETS2 deployments and legacy meter exchanges, to optimize customer outcomes and P&L.
- Stakeholder Orchestration: Align diverse teams across the business to act as a cohesive unit.
- Resource & Budget Management: Oversee project budgets and resource allocation to ensure maximum ROI and timely delivery.
We work together.
Your team and the people you will work with include experts from across Commercial, Finance, Product, Tech, Operations, and Regulatory teams. As a Project Manager within Commercial Energy Projects, you will act as the central point of contact for cross-business initiatives linked to Energy. You will work collaboratively to align these diverse teams, ensuring that our energy business remains compliant, efficient, and market-leading.
We put people first. It’s all about you...
We are looking for an inclusive leader who can foster a culture of transparency and shared goals to build high-performing squads. You should excel at relationship building, forming strong bonds with both internal and external stakeholders to drive outcomes. With strategic influence, you’ll challenge and align senior stakeholders, while your resilience and adaptability allow you to navigate shifting industry deadlines and regulatory pivots with ease.
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
- Proven Project Leadership: Extensive experience running high-profile projects and creating dynamic, collaborative work environments.
- Change Management: A track record of landing complex operational changes in fast-paced corporate settings.
- Technical Literacy: The ability to interface with Product and Engineering teams to translate requirements into technical specifications.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience in the energy sector or a proven ability to adapt quickly to new, complex industries.
- Analytical Problem Solving: The ability to break down complex data flows or bottlenecks into actionable plans.
