We know the Cashback card has even more potential to unlock and we're looking for a Commercial Manager to drive the proposition forwards.

This role reports to the Financial Services Director and will closely work with stakeholders across Product, Technology, Marketing, Legal & Compliance to drive the CBC business forwards.

What you’ll do and how you will make an impact:

  • Commercial Management of the Cashback Card proposition: Managing, optimising, and growing our pre-paid Cashback Card (CBC) program. Working with our CBC Product Manager and Engineering Squad to deliver the CBC roadmap. Working with marketing and customer service teams to communicate benefits, run campaigns, and support customer education.
  • Supplier Management: Managing relationships with key ecosystem partners, including card issuer, processor, Mastercard payment network, ID check provider, sanctions check provider, 3DS provider, and card manufacturer. This will include contract negotiations, account management and reporting. Negotiating commercial terms with partners to secure attractive cashback offers. Account management of partners. Monitoring and optimising partner performance and resolving issues.
  • Compliance Management: Ensuring the CBC product is compliant with all relevant financial services regulations. Managing fraud and financial crime risks in collaboration with compliance and risk teams.
  • Reporting & Analytics: Collecting and analysing customer feedback (complaints data, customer panel data) as an input to developing and executing strategies to drive growth & retention. Monitoring and reporting on performance metrics (activation rate, spend per card, load activity, cashback earned, fraud, and promotions).

Qualifications:

  • A strong background in payments, prepaid cards, or cashback/rewards programs with an understanding of the economics and profitability of a card product.
  • Experience in commercial product management, commercial negotiations, and/or partnership management.
  • Significant experience in vendor management, particularly with external suppliers or partners relevant to a cashback or card program.
  • Knowledge of card issuing, processing, and payment networks from both a technical and commercial perspective.
  • Familiarity with the financial services regulatory environment and the applicable regulations (e.g., FCA regulations including Consumer Duty, financial promotions, AML/CTF).
  • Experience of developing a compelling, long-term product direction, understanding market trends (especially in cards/rewards/payments), and identifying growth opportunities.
  • Experience working closely with Compliance and Legal teams within a regulated financial environment.
  • You’ll be able to identify and mitigate operational, financial, and reputational risks associated with the card product.
  • You can balance customer value with commercial sustainability, bringing an entrepreneurial approach to growing the CBC business.
  • Meticulous approach to reviewing complex legal and marketing documentation for accuracy and compliance.
  • Data-driven mindset with ability to analyse performance and make evidence-based decisions.
  • Proficiency in data manipulation and analysis to generate performance reports.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
