We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Senior Marketing Data Analyst who can act as a technical lead and strategic partner. Embedded within a cross-functional environment, working directly with our Customer Marketing team, your role sits at the intersection of engineering and business strategy, acting as the bridge between technical data stacks and marketing goals. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders to refine requirements, manage request lifecycles, and provide technical mentorship to fellow analysts to ensure high-quality standards across the function.

Responsibilities

  • Building end-to-end data models in Dataform and handling complex transformations.
  • Move beyond “what happened” to explain “why” and recommend the next strategic steps.
  • Proactively tune SQL for cost and runtime, address data quality alerts, and manage technical debt.
  • Develop visual, self-serve tools for users to access KPIs and explore pre-built datasets.
  • Develop deep knowledge of the customer marketing landscape to help define team goals.
  • Design scalable analysis processes that require minimal supervision.

Qualifications

  • Collaborative communicator, capable of mentoring others through code reviews and fostering an inclusive culture.
  • Ability to debug complex queries and write optimised, high-performance code.
  • Experience developing sophisticated, scalable, and reusable domain-level data models (e.g., Dataform/dbt).
  • Strong knowledge of attribution modelling and cohort analysis.
  • Proven experience influencing technical guidelines, principles, and standards.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Braze, Optimizely, Mixpanel, Amplitude, or GA4.
  • Experience with version control tools like Git and GitHub.
  • A track record of translating complex data into actionable recommendations that drive business KPIs.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary: We benchmark against the industry and will share the salary openly during our first conversation.
  • Performance bonus: An annual discretionary bonus ranging from 15-40%.
  • Work-life balance: We offer an optional four-day working week (90% pay for 90% impact).
  • Work from anywhere: You can work abroad for up to three weeks, twice every tax year.
  • Holiday: 25 days plus bank holidays (increasing with tenure), with the option to trade up to five days each year.
  • UW discounts: Save on our services and you’ll also get access to 100s of rewards and discounts through Perkbox.
  • Future planning: Matched-contribution pension scheme and life assurance (up to 4x salary).
  • Family first: Policies designed to help you and your family thrive.
  • Flexible benefits: An allowance for private health insurance, dental insurance, or gym membership.
  • Sabbaticals: An eight-week paid sabbatical after four years of service.
  • Growth: A dedicated learning and development budget and bi-annual promotion cycles.
  • Inclusion: Join belonging groups that help shape our culture.
  • Events: Company-wide celebrations including the “Great Big Get Together” and our “Good Hearted Go-Getter Awards”.

Equal Opportunity

Not sure you meet all the requirements? Research shows that women and members of other underrepresented groups tend not to apply for jobs if they think they may not meet every qualification, when in fact they often do. You are welcome to apply no matter your age, disability, gender, marriage or civil partnership status, pregnancy and maternity status, race, religion or belief, or sexual orientation.
