As the new Pricing Manager at Utility Warehouse, you will take ownership of pricing decisions and shape the next stage of Utility Warehouse’s insurance journey. You will lead the design, development, and deployment of our market pricing, commission optimisation and lifetime value modelling across our insurance product suite.

What you’ll do and how you will make an impact:

  • You will design and deploy price and commission optimisation models for our insurance broker across the range of our insurance products.
  • You will collaborate closely with the wider Utility Warehouse business to integrate customer economics into our unique multi‑service pricing approach, ensuring our strategies drive long‑term business objectives.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Lead our insurance pricing approach: Take complete ownership of our market pricing, commission optimisation, and customer lifetime value (LTV) models across all our insurance products.
  • Manage trading: Drive our insurance product performance to make sure we hit our ambitious targets for sales and customer value.
  • Build the models: Maintain and upgrade our customer and market behaviour models to keep them incredibly accurate.
  • Embed WTW Radar as a key analytics tool for Insurance pricing, whilst utilising SQL and other data tools for complex modelling and analysis.
  • Shape strategies: Recommend data‑driven pricing plans that fit our long‑term insurance goals.
  • Do the right thing: Make sure every pricing action champions fair outcomes for our customers and ticks all regulatory boxes.

Your team and the people you will work with:

You will report directly to our Head of Insurance and work right at the heart of our Commercial Growth team. We are a lively, characterful bunch who love to work together to drive results. Financial Services is the newest part of our business so expect high pace and lots of opportunity to shape change as we scale. You will work closely with other departments to make sense of our unique multi‑service customer economics, making sure our pricing strategies are simple, fair, and aligned with UW’s long‑term vision.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you'll need to bring the following knowledge, skills and experience:

  • Data and numbers wizard: You have a degree in a highly numerical subject (such as Mathematics, Statistics, or Computer Science)—or you have the equivalent real‑world commercial experience to match.
  • Insurance know‑how: You bring expert experience in general insurance pricing and have a deep, detailed understanding of price optimisation.
  • Tech savvy: You have hands‑on experience using WTW Radar (or similar insurance analytics software).
  • SQL and modelling expert: You are great at using SQL to handle complex data, and you are comfortable with advanced statistical techniques and customer modelling.
  • Great communicator: You have a knack for translating complex data into clear plans, easily bringing senior managers and directors along on the journey.
  • Good‑hearted teammate: You keep the customer’s interests at heart, making sure our decisions always lead to fair outcomes.
